|Based on the Liriodendron tulip, the factors influencing the joint strength of ellipse mortise and tenon of T-type joint were investigated. The single factor test was used to investigate the glue spreading amount and the setting time on the tensile strength of the joint. At the same time, the orthogonal test was used to investigate the primary and secondary effects of the three dimensions of the depth, length and width of the mortise on the bending strength of joint. The results showed that the influence of glue spreading amount on the tensile strength of the joint was very significant, and the influence of the setting time was quite significant. The width of the mortise was the main factor influencing the bending strength of the joint, the depth and length of the tenon were secondary factors, and the influence of the depth was greater than the length of the mortise.
